we are still in Germany. Tonga has kept its borders fully closed, allowing very few Tongans into the country with at least three weeks of quarantine. Tonga is still corona free and over 70 percent of the population is vaccinated. New Zealand has announced gradual opening for next year and we hope it stays that way and that Tonga follows suit.

We spent most of our time here at home, we had always something to do.

There also was a lot of snow last winter.

In summer we converted my father's VW van into a fully-fledged camper and tested it at the end of September during the boat show in Friedrichshafen near Lake Constance. We also met some friends there and spent hours full of memories with them. Then we made a detour to Lindau and the Heuneburg.

My hip joints hurt more and more, so I, Elke, decided to have a doublesided hip replacement. In mid-December I will have surgery at the Vincentius Clinic in Constance and from December 28th I will be in rehab in Bad Saulgau for three weeks.

Therefore only a short report this year.
